Innovation Exchange Amsterdam (IXA) is the technology transfer office (TTO) for the University of Amsterdam (UvA), Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU), Amsterdam University Medical Centers (Amsterdam UMC - a merger of AMC and VUmc), and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (HvA). Its mission is to bridge the gap between academic research and the market. IXA provides comprehensive support to researchers, academics, and entrepreneurs in transforming their ideas and discoveries into tangible products and services through patenting, licensing, legal support, and the creation and funding of spin-off companies. The holding company manages the venture funds and equity stakes in these spin-offs.
