ut financial services limited
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1997 as UT Financial Services, the company quickly grew to become a leading non-bank financial institution in Ghana, specializing in providing fast and accessible loans to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individuals. After listing on the Ghana Stock Exchange, it acquired a universal banking license from the Bank of Ghana in 2010 and was rebranded as UT Bank Ghana Limited. The bank was known for its "A loan in 48 hours" promise and customer-centric approach. However, it later faced severe capital adequacy challenges, leading to the Bank of Ghana revoking its license on August 14, 2017. Its assets and liabilities were subsequently assumed by GCB Bank Ltd.
