UT Bank Ghana
Information by Research Trustfinance
UT Bank Ghana Limited was a major indigenous Ghanaian bank that commenced operations in 2009 after UT Financial Services acquired BPI Bank. The bank was widely recognized for its unique approach to SME lending and its mission to provide fast and efficient financial services to local businesses. However, the bank faced severe liquidity and capital challenges, leading to its insolvency. In August 2017, the Bank of Ghana revoked its license and approved a takeover by the state-owned GCB Bank Ltd.
