Founded in 2001 as a department within Uniastrum Bank, Unistream was spun off into a separate entity in 2006 and obtained its own banking license from the Central Bank of Russia. The company operates one of the largest international money transfer systems in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Its primary mission is to provide fast, reliable, and low-cost remittance services for individuals, particularly migrant workers sending money home. Unistream has built an extensive network of service points and partners globally, alongside developing a digital presence through its mobile app and online services.
