Established in 1996, the UBC Tax Assistance Clinic for Students (TACS) is a student-run organization operating under the UBC Alma Mater Society (AMS). As part of the Canada Revenue Agency's (CRA) Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP), TACS provides free, high-quality income tax preparation services. Its mission is to assist students and individuals with a modest income and a simple tax situation, helping them file their taxes accurately and on time while educating them about the Canadian tax system.
