UCash
Information by Research TrustFinance
UCash was a UK-based electronic money system that allowed users to make online transactions without a credit or debit card. Customers would exchange cash at physical outlets for a unique 19-digit UCash voucher, which could then be used to pay for goods and services online. The company, operated by Smart Vouchers Limited, was regulated by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as an Electronic Money Institution. Its mission was to provide a secure and accessible payment method for individuals who were unbanked or preferred not to share their financial details online. In 2015, UCash was acquired by Skrill Group (now part of Paysafe Group) and was subsequently merged into Paysafe's similar pre-paid service, paysafecard, with the UCash brand being discontinued.
