Founded in 2007, TopTarif Internet GmbH operated one of Germany's leading independent consumer portals for comparing prices on electricity, gas, DSL, and insurance. The company's mission was to provide transparency and help consumers find the best rates and save money by facilitating easy provider switches. In 2014, TopTarif was acquired by the ProSiebenSat.1 Group and subsequently integrated into their subsidiary, Verivox. The TopTarif brand was eventually phased out, with all traffic and operations being merged into the main Verivox platform.
