Founded in 2001 as a subsidiary of The Times Group of India, TimesofMoney Ltd. was a leading digital payment service provider. Its core business focused on facilitating global money transfers, with its flagship brand "Remit2India" becoming a prominent platform for non-resident Indians (NRIs) to send money home. The company also offered online payment gateway solutions for merchants. In 2012, TimesofMoney was acquired by UAE-based Network International. The remittance part of the business was later acquired by Finablr, while the payment gateway portion (DirecPay) was acquired by PayU. The original TimesofMoney brand is now defunct, and its successor remittance service, Remit2India, has also suspended operations as of late 2023/early 2024.
