Tidelands Bancshares, Inc. was the holding company for Tidelands Bank, a community bank founded in 2006. Headquartered in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, the bank focused on providing a full suite of personal and business banking services, including checking, savings, loans, and mortgages, to communities in the coastal South Carolina region, such as Charleston, Myrtle Beach, and Hilton Head Island. On July 1, 2018, United Community Banks, Inc. completed its acquisition of Tidelands Bancshares, Inc., and Tidelands Bank was subsequently merged into United Community Bank.
