Founded by Joselito Lizarondo, Swipe was a financial technology company that developed a platform to bridge the cryptocurrency and traditional fiat financial systems. Its core products included a multi-currency digital wallet and a Visa debit card that allowed users to spend their cryptocurrencies in real-time at millions of locations worldwide. In July 2020, Swipe was acquired by the major cryptocurrency exchange Binance. Following the acquisition, Swipe's technology and services were gradually integrated into the Binance ecosystem, notably powering the Binance Card. The native utility token, SXP, has since been rebranded to Solar (SXP) as the project's governance and development transitioned to the decentralized Solar Network.
