The Institutes RiskStream Collaborative is a non-profit consortium dedicated to advancing insurance-specific use cases of distributed ledger technology (DLT). Formed in 2017 by its parent organization, The Institutes, it brings together a network of insurers, brokers, and reinsurers to solve industry-wide challenges. The collaborative's mission is to increase efficiency, enhance security, and improve the customer experience across the insurance value chain by developing interoperable, standardized applications on its proprietary DLT platform, Canopy. Key focus areas include proof of insurance, first notice of loss, and subrogation.
