Founded in 1970, The Boston Company Asset Management was a global investment management firm that specialized in active equity and alternative investment strategies for institutional and high-net-worth clients. It was acquired by Mellon Financial in 1993, which subsequently merged with The Bank of New York in 2007 to form BNY Mellon. In 2018, BNY Mellon merged The Boston Company with another of its asset management boutiques, Standish Mellon, to create a new, single entity named Mellon Investments Corporation. The strategies and teams from the former Boston Company are now integrated within BNY Mellon's various investment management firms.
