Founded in 1939, Teachers Life Insurance Society (Fraternal) was established by educators for educators with a mission to provide financial security and support to its members. As a fraternal benefit society, it operated on a not-for-profit basis, reinvesting earnings to benefit its members and their communities through scholarships and other programs. The company specializes in life, critical illness, and disability insurance tailored for teachers, education workers, and their families across Canada. In early 2024, Teachers Life was acquired by and amalgamated with Canadian Premier Life Insurance Company and Canadian Premier General Insurance Company, which now operate under the brand name Securian Canada.
