Originally established as TCF Inventory Finance, Inc. (TCFIF), the company was a prominent national provider of specialized financing programs for dealers and manufacturers. Its primary business is offering "floorplan" financing, which allows dealers to stock inventory, such as marine products, RVs, lawn and garden equipment, and consumer electronics. In June 2021, TCF Financial Corporation was acquired by Huntington Bancshares Incorporated. As a result, TCF Inventory Finance was integrated into the new parent company and rebranded as Huntington Distribution Finance, continuing its mission to provide tailored inventory finance solutions and technology to its clients as part of Huntington's broader commercial banking services.
