Tarayana Rural Development Facility (RDF) was initiated as a microfinance program by the Tarayana Foundation in 2006. In 2017, it was established as an independent, non-profit Microfinance Institution (MFI) licensed by the Royal Monetary Authority of Bhutan. The company's mission is to promote financial inclusion and enhance the livelihoods of rural and low-income households in Bhutan by providing accessible and affordable financial services, including credit for agriculture, small businesses, and education, as well as savings and insurance products.
