Originally chartered in 1940 as the Madison Telco Credit Union to serve telephone company employees, TACU Credit Union has since expanded its field of membership. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide affordable, high-quality financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans (auto, home, personal), and credit cards, with a focus on member satisfaction and financial well-being rather than generating profit for stockholders.
