Established in 1935, the Syracuse Fire Department Credit Union is a financial institution dedicated to serving the financial needs of active and retired Syracuse firefighters and their family members. As a not-for-profit cooperative, it is owned and operated by its members, with a mission to provide competitive rates for savings and loans, and a range of personal banking services. Unlike traditional banks, profits are returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher dividends on savings, and fewer service fees.
