Syn Mun Kong Insurance Public Company Limited was established in 1951 and grew to become one of Thailand's leading non-life insurance providers. The company offered a comprehensive range of products, including motor, fire, marine, and miscellaneous insurance, building a reputation for service and reliability over several decades. However, the company faced insurmountable financial difficulties stemming from massive claims related to its COVID-19 insurance policies sold during the pandemic. This led to a business rehabilitation process which ultimately failed, resulting in the revocation of its operating license in late 2023.
