SurePay provides its "IBAN-Name Check" service to banks, financial institutions, and businesses, which cross-references the name of a beneficiary with their account number (IBAN) in real-time. This verification process gives payers an immediate warning if the details don't match, significantly reducing misdirected payments and authorised push payment (APP) fraud. The company has expanded from its home market in the Netherlands to the UK, France, and other European countries.
