SosteNica, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization founded in 1992. Its mission is to foster sustainable economic and social development in Nicaragua by providing financing and technical assistance to low-income entrepreneurs, farmers, and communities. The organization operates on principles of community-based banking and sustainable development, aiming to help Nicaraguans achieve economic self-sufficiency. It raises funds in the United States, partly through a revolving loan fund where supporters can make loans to SosteNica, which are then used to provide micro-loans in Nicaragua.
