SEWA Grih Rin Ltd. (SGRL), which operates under the brand name Sitara, is an Indian Housing Finance Company (HFC) focused on financial inclusion. Co-founded in 2011 by the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and KfW (a German state-owned development bank), the company began operations in 2015. Its primary mission is to provide accessible housing loans to underserved, low-income women working in the informal economy, enabling them to build, purchase, or improve their homes.
