Founded in 1951 by San Francisco firefighters, SF Fire Credit Union is a state-chartered, federally insured financial institution. As a not-for-profit cooperative, its mission is to provide its members with a full range of high-quality financial services, including checking and savings accounts, loans, and investment products, at fair and competitive rates. Membership was originally exclusive to firefighters and their families but has since expanded to include individuals who live, work, or worship in San Francisco, San Mateo, or Marin counties.
