Originally chartered in 1951 as the Des Moines Police Department Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Serve Credit Union in 2023 to better reflect its expanded field of membership. As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, its mission is to serve those who serve the community, including law enforcement, firefighters, public works employees, and their families. The credit union offers a full range of financial products, including savings and checking accounts, auto and home loans, credit cards, and digital banking services, with a focus on providing value and personalized service to its members.
