Founded in 1937, State Employees' Credit Union (SECU) is a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative. Its mission is to be the trusted provider of financial services for every eligible member and to improve their financial well-being. SECU offers a comprehensive suite of consumer financial services, including checking and savings accounts, mortgages, auto and personal loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment services. Membership is primarily open to employees of the State of North Carolina, public school employees, and their immediate family members.
