Established in 2001, Safaricom Sacco Ltd was initially formed to provide a mechanism for Safaricom staff to save and borrow at affordable rates. It has since grown to become a leading Deposit-Taking Sacco (DT-Sacco) regulated by the Sacco Societies Regulatory Authority (SASRA) of Kenya. Its mission is to empower its members financially by offering a variety of savings, credit, and investment products, leveraging technology for efficient service delivery. Membership is open to employees of Safaricom PLC and other approved technology-oriented organizations, as well as their spouses and children.
