Founded in 1997 by Marcus Rule, Rule Financial was a UK-based business and IT consultancy that specialized exclusively in the financial services sector. The company provided strategic advisory, implementation services, and custom software development for many of the world's leading investment banks, asset and wealth managers. It grew to over 800 employees with offices in major financial hubs. In June 2014, Rule Financial was acquired by the German IT company GFT Technologies SE to strengthen its capital markets expertise and global presence, and has since been fully integrated and rebranded under the GFT name.
