Founded in 1974, Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP) is a health insurance company with a long history of serving the communities of Colorado, particularly on the Western Slope. As a not-for-profit organization, its mission is focused on improving the health and well-being of its members. RMHP offers a comprehensive range of health plans, including individual & family plans, Medicare, Medicaid (as part of Colorado's Health First Colorado program), and employer-sponsored group plans. In 2017, RMHP became part of the UnitedHealthcare family, which allows it to leverage the resources of a national carrier while maintaining its local focus and community presence.
