rockville bank
Information by Research TrustFinance
Founded in 1858, Rockville Bank was a long-standing community financial institution serving north-central Connecticut. It provided a range of personal and business banking services, including deposits, loans, and wealth management. In 2014, Rockville Bank merged with United Bank of Massachusetts, creating a new, larger entity named United Bank, which was headquartered in Glastonbury, CT. This new United Bank was subsequently acquired by People's United Financial in a deal that closed in 2020. Following this, People's United was acquired by M&T Bank Corporation in a transaction completed in 2022. As a result, all former Rockville Bank branches, accounts, and operations are now fully integrated into M&T Bank.
