Founded in 1914 as the First State Bank of Hawkins, BTH Bank (Bank of Tanglewood, Hawkins) was a full-service community bank serving East Texas. It focused on providing personal and business banking services, including checking, savings, loans, and mortgages, with a mission centered on community relationships. In 2018, BTH Financial Corp, the parent company of BTH Bank, announced a merger with Louisiana-based Origin Bancorp, Inc. The merger was completed in 2019, and all BTH Bank locations were subsequently rebranded as Origin Bank.
