Information by Research Trustfinance
Founded in 1992 on the basis of the Ukrainian republican bank Promstroibank USSR, Prominvestbank (PIB) was historically one of the largest and most influential financial institutions in Ukraine. It provided a full range of banking services to corporate, SME, and retail clients. In the 2000s, the bank was majority-acquired by Russia's state development corporation VEB.RF (Vnesheconombank). Due to its Russian state ownership, the bank was subjected to sanctions and, following the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, its banking license was revoked by the National Bank of Ukraine, which initiated the liquidation process in February 2022.
