Proficio Bank was a Utah state-chartered commercial bank established in 2007 and headquartered near Salt Lake City. The institution's primary mission was to provide banking services and commercial loans, including Small Business Administration (SBA) loans, to small businesses across the United States. Following a period of financial difficulty characterized by significant loan losses, the bank was unable to meet regulatory capital requirements. As a result, it was closed by state regulators on March 15, 2013, and the FDIC was appointed as receiver to handle its assets and deposits.
