Port Finance Group
Information by Research TrustFinance
Port Finance was a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol built on the Solana network, designed to function as a comprehensive money market. It provided services such as variable rate lending, fixed-rate lending, and interest rate swaps. Users could supply their crypto assets to earn interest and use them as collateral to borrow other assets. The project gained initial traction with backing from notable venture capital firms, including Jump Capital and Alameda Research. However, in November 2022, following the collapse of its key backer, Alameda Research, and the associated FTX exchange, the Port Finance team announced they were winding down the project and making it open source.
