Pirate Chain is a community-driven, open-source project launched in 2018. Its primary mission is to be the most private and secure cryptocurrency available. It achieves this by using a privacy protocol called zk-SNARKS (Zero-Knowledge Succinct Non-Interactive Argument of Knowledge) to shield 100% of peer-to-peer transactions on its blockchain, making all transactional data, including sender/receiver addresses and transaction amounts, completely anonymous. A fork of the Komodo (KMD) blockchain, Pirate Chain (ARRR) is secured by a Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus mechanism.
