OmegaATS
Information by Research TrustFinance
OmegaATS was launched in 2007 as an independent Canadian alternative trading system designed to provide a fast, efficient, and cost-effective marketplace for trading Canadian-listed securities. It offered unique order types and a "maker-taker" pricing model to attract liquidity. In 2012, OmegaATS was acquired by the Maple Group Acquisition Corporation (now TMX Group), along with other alternative trading venues. Its operations and technology were subsequently consolidated with Alpha ATS and are now part of the TMX Group's trading ecosystem, which operates under names like TSX Alpha Exchange and TMX Lynx.
