Founded in 1946 and later becoming a member of the French financial group Société Générale in 2007, Ohridska Banka AD Skopje was one of the leading banking institutions in the Republic of North Macedonia. It operated as a universal bank, providing a wide range of services to both retail and corporate clients, including deposits, loans, payment services, and trade finance. In 2019, Austria's Steiermärkische Sparkasse Group acquired a majority stake in Ohridska Banka, and in July 2021, the bank was fully integrated into Sparkasse Bank Makedonija, ceasing to exist as a separate brand.
