Established in 1972 by its parent organization, The Arc New York, NYSARC Trust Services administers pooled supplemental needs trusts (SNTs) for individuals with disabilities. Its primary mission is to enhance the quality of life for people with physical, developmental, and mental disabilities by managing funds from personal injury settlements, inheritances, or other sources. This service allows beneficiaries to maintain eligibility for essential means-tested government benefits, such as Medicaid and Supplemental Security Income (SSI), while using the trust funds for expenses that provide comfort and enrichment.
