The National Shared Services Office (NSSO) was established as part of the Irish Government's Public Service Reform Plan to centralise and standardise administrative and back-office functions across the civil service. Its mission is to deliver efficient, high-quality, and user-focused shared services in areas such as HR, payroll, pensions, and finance. The NSSO serves over 40 government departments and offices, processing payroll for more than 100,000 public servants and handling a wide range of HR and financial management services.
