Norvik Banka
Information by Research Trustfinance
Originally established in 1992, Norvik Banka was one of Latvia's oldest commercial banks, serving both private individuals and corporate clients. It focused on providing a wide range of financial services, including daily banking, loans, investments, and wealth management, with a significant client base in Latvia and other CIS countries. In 2018, the bank underwent a rebranding and became PNB Banka. However, in August 2019, the European Central Bank (ECB) declared the bank "failing or likely to fail" due to a significant deterioration in its capital position. Consequently, the Latvian financial regulator (FCMC) suspended its operations and subsequently revoked its license, initiating a liquidation process.
