Founded in 1987 as the Northern California Community Loan Fund (NCCLF), the organization rebranded to Community Vision in 2019 to better reflect its expanding services and geographic reach. It is a certified non-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that works to achieve economic and racial justice by providing capital and technical assistance to community-based organizations. Community Vision offers affordable, flexible loans and free, expert consulting services to nonprofits, small businesses, and arts organizations to help them create and sustain jobs, housing, and essential community services.
