NEX Group
Information by Research Trustfinance
Formerly known as ICAP plc, NEX Group was formed in 2016 after the demerger and sale of ICAP's voice-broking business. The company focused on electronic markets and post-trade solutions, operating through two primary divisions: NEX Markets, which provided electronic platforms for trading foreign exchange (EBS) and fixed income (BrokerTec), and NEX Optimisation, which offered a portfolio of post-trade, risk management, and regulatory services (including TriOptima and Traiana). In 2018, NEX Group was acquired by CME Group for £3.9 billion, integrating its leading electronic trading platforms and post-trade services into CME's global derivatives marketplace.
