Its flagship product, Newssift, was launched in 2008 as a powerful, real-time search and alerting tool for business professionals. The service aggregated news from thousands of global sources, including the Financial Times, allowing users in corporate communications, PR, and research to monitor trends, track competitors, and manage their reputation. Newssift was discontinued as a standalone product around 2013, with its features and technology being integrated into the broader suite of FT's professional and corporate subscription services. The legal entity, FT Search Inc., was subsequently merged into other parts of the parent company and is no longer active.
