Founded in June 1994, Nepal Bangladesh Bank Limited (NB Bank) was established as a joint venture with IFIC Bank of Bangladesh. It operated as a Class 'A' commercial bank licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank, offering a comprehensive suite of banking products, including consumer and corporate banking, deposits, loans, trade finance, and treasury services. In a landmark deal for Nepal's banking sector, NB Bank was acquired by Nabil Bank Limited, with joint operations commencing on July 11, 2022. The acquisition created one of the largest commercial banks in Nepal, operating under the Nabil Bank brand.
