New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) is an Indian news media company founded in 1984 by journalists Radhika Roy and Prannoy Roy. Initially a production house for news segments, it launched India's first 24-hour news channel in 1998. Today, NDTV is regarded as one of India's most credible news networks, operating several channels including NDTV 24x7 (English) and NDTV India (Hindi), as well as a suite of digital platforms like ndtv.com. The company's mission is to provide independent, high-quality journalism. In late 2022, the Adani Group acquired a majority stake in the company, marking a significant change in its ownership structure.
