Information by Research TrustFinance
NBNK Investments plc was a special-purpose acquisition company incorporated in July 2010. It was founded by a group of high-profile City of London figures, led by Lord Levene, with the primary mission of acquiring and operating a significant UK banking business. The company's main objective was to bid for the 632 bank branches that Lloyds Banking Group was required to sell by the European Commission, a project known as "Project Verde". After its bid was ultimately unsuccessful in 2012, the company announced it would wind down its operations. It was officially dissolved in November 2014.
