Founded in the early 2000s, MIXIT Inc. specialized in developing and providing high-performance, multi-asset trading systems, specifically Execution Management Systems (EMS) and Order Management Systems (OMS). Its technology was designed to be broker-neutral, offering clients flexibility and connectivity to various liquidity sources. In 2011, MIXIT was acquired by Investment Technology Group (ITG) to enhance ITG's end-to-end trading solutions. Subsequently, in 2019, Virtu Financial acquired ITG, and MIXIT's technology and platforms were fully integrated into Virtu's comprehensive suite of financial technology products, particularly its Triton EMS.
