Founded in 1985, MidSouth Bank (part of the holding company MidSouth Bancorp, Inc.) was a community-focused financial institution headquartered in Lafayette, Louisiana. It provided a comprehensive suite of banking products and services to commercial and retail customers, including personal and business checking/savings accounts, loans, mortgages, treasury management, and wealth management services. The bank operated primarily in Louisiana and Texas. In September 2019, MidSouth Bancorp, Inc. was officially acquired by and merged into Hancock Whitney Corporation, with all MidSouth Bank branches and operations being rebranded under the Hancock Whitney name.
