Established in 2012 as part of the Irish Government's Action Plan for Jobs, Microfinance Ireland (MFI) is a not-for-profit lender dedicated to supporting Irish micro-enterprises. Its mission is to provide access to finance for start-ups, sole traders, and small businesses with fewer than 10 employees and a turnover of up to €2 million, particularly those who have been unable to secure funding through traditional banking channels. MFI offers a range of loan products to help businesses grow, manage cash flow, and create or sustain employment, thereby fostering entrepreneurship across Ireland.
