Mezu
Information by Research Trustfinance
Mezu was a U.S.-based financial technology company that offered a peer-to-peer (P2P) mobile payments app designed for privacy and security. Launched in 2018 by Alacriti, its key feature was the ability to conduct transactions anonymously using a temporary, four-digit "MezuCode" instead of exchanging personal details like names, phone numbers, or email addresses. The service aimed to replicate the privacy of cash in a digital format. Despite raising capital, the company announced it was shutting down its services in August 2020 and the app is no longer operational.
