Originally chartered in 1982 to serve the employees of St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, Mercy Federal Credit Union has since expanded its field of membership. As a member-owned financial institution, its mission is to improve the economic and social well-being of its members by providing a variety of affordable financial services. It operates on a not-for-profit basis, returning earnings to members through lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees.
