Founded in 1976, the Bolsa Nacional de Valores de Costa Rica (BNV) is the central institution of the Costa Rican capital market. Its primary mission is to foster market development by providing a secure, transparent, and efficient platform for trading stocks, government and corporate bonds, and other financial instruments. As a self-regulated entity operating under the supervision of the Superintendencia General de Valores (SUGEVAL), the BNV facilitates capital formation for businesses and the government while offering investment opportunities to the public.
